Publisher review:Universal Auth is a universal authentication class for PHP. One thing most scripts need is a way for users to register, login, logout, update their information, and have their sessions managed.
It can be very time consuming writing this code for every application that you create. This is why this simple universal authentication class for PHP is written. It will handle much of the low level work needed to get this done.
The class has some of the following features:
- Register users to your database.
- Authenticate users.
- Log users in, and set cookies to remember them.
- Log users out.
- Update user information.
- Completely handle sessions on the database.
- Encrypt passwords and cookies using MD5 encryption with appended user and/or site wide salts.
- Flexible database configurations. Common MySQL table structures can be used by creating your own schematic, or using the default schematic.
- Built in Hook/Plug-in system so you can modify the class without touching the source code.
This is the first version of this class. These are some basic features and more will probably be added in the future.
Using this class, you will save a great deal of time starting your project.
